The local headline for JB here is 92K per year..lol
Regional Intermodal Driver- Earn up to $92K (5478) -
Not a recruiter, a "placement specialist" whatever that means. I want to know who working for jb hunt makes 92k that's a driver, driving a truck as their only job title?
-
Average earning 75k somehow I have doubts about that. God these companies are so good at lying. I have seen the outlandish claims western express makes. 90% of what comes out of any of these companies is horse poo.
And they wonder part of the reason they can't retain anyone. They hire you and promise the world. After a driver works there for 6mo or less and realizes they have been duped they quit.
As part of the truckers bill of rights, there needs to be a "truth in trucking" clause holding companies responsible for gross misrepresentation.Toomanybikes Thanks this. -
I remember when they used to set up tables out front of the driver's entrance at truck stops and pestered everyone that walked in. They used to be way worse in the day

austinmike and Toomanybikes Thank this.

Look at it this way. Beats a monthly call from your ex...

Stay away from jb hunt man. When i first started driving back in the day, lol (2007) I got sucked in by their high mileage pay and you will be dedicated B.S. Went to orientation and found out they completely lied to me and my buddy who was promised the same thing. They said we would have to run regional for a while until they have openings on the dedicated account. Then they tried to give is the crappiest trucks I have ever seen. Small sleeper junk freightliner centuries. No thanks, I got my orientation pay and let them know we where out. A whopping $100 for 3 days at that time. We wnt and drove team for Eagle KMC out of Tucson, AZ.
Then later I find out they put on my DAC report that I quit or left during training. I don't think so bro. I called them and said I need to speek to your legal dept. They asked why and I told them what was going on and that they would be hearing from a lawyer if they didn't take it off. They said they don't know why that got put on there (right...) and they would take it off. Had my DAC ran again the next day and it was off.
I hate douchebag companies that try and screw you over because you won't put up with their B.S.CT-Driver860, Texas_hwy_287 and Toomanybikes Thank this. -
I used to be a driver then a fleet manager for them. They didn't want me to quit even though they pay crap even as a manager so they put stuff on my dac. Jokes on them, every job I had since pays considerably higher.
And yes those idiots call me too, they even spoof their number so a number with my area code shows up when they call, talk about desperate lol.
No one should drive for these guys. When I went to meetings in corporate they brag about how they undercut and underbid private fleets. They did that with jack in the box, those drivers where getting paid well. Jb hunt pays their jack in the box guys 12 bucks a stop lmao and yes you unload the trailer yourself
Each manager at whatever terminal you are dictates your pay whether you are intermodal or dcs. And you can bet each time a new manager comes in they lower the rates. It baffles me how pepple can work for these guys. They pay crap and have zero respect for drivers. As a manager, they would openly talk bad about drivers in front of drivers. They really think we're the kids on the short bus
