Just had another problem with the logs.
Was on duty, and went to sleeper birth. For whatever reason the change didn't go through and was on duty for an extra 2.5 hours.
I e-mailed Byrce and HE MISTAKENLY edited the time to off-duty instead of sleeper.
Got a call from dispatch, and was trying to plan the day. I didn't realize the correction was incorrectly corrected until I got off the phone from dispatch.
I had taken a much less favorable load, when I could have taken a better load on a tighter time schedule that I didn't think i could make because the correction didn't go through properly.
This is an absolutely terrible policy -
You'll learn quickly to double check and make sure your change went through. I know it's a pain in the ###… I'm not disputing that. You should have sent Bryce another message and had them change it to sleeper berth. I sometimes make the same mistakes… But they are easily corrected.
Call up Chad or Matt Gadberry and talk to them about it. Maybe another voice will help implement change…Lowlite Thanks this. -
Im in Waco getting loaded for Cheyenne, WY. Did you take US 287 to Amarillo and if you did, did you have to stop at every small town on the way. I wanna take this route but don't want to if I will have to keep slowing down.
-
It's not bad, most towns you slow to 45, you only hit lights in populated towns. 287 not bad.

287 has some lights on it but it's not a bad road. If you are going to run 35 to 335 to 70 it's 90 miles farther. I used to run out Grand Praire and going to Cheyenne we always ran 287

mattbh23 Thanks this. -
Yeah that 90 miles makes a difference. Gonna head out around midnight to avoid getting traffic thru DFW or end up w/o parking driving late. My appt. isn't until 1300 if they load quick I may take a chance. Thanks for the heads up.mattbh23 Thanks this.

Like @radioshark said, 287 isn't bad, lots of open road in between towns. The one bad thing is, there is a lot of 2 lane after Amarillo, so if you get behind a slow truck like Swift, or JB...oh, wait...forget that last part, they haven't turned ya'll's trucks up yet. My bad...
Woobie, BoostedTeg, txtodd and 4 others Thank this. -
I think jb going to 65mph soon lolmattbh23 Thanks this.
