Change to improve = good. Change for the sake of change= not so good.

No federal law states i must send in a log everyday I'm off duty. For over twenty years week simply made one when we returned you work stating how long we were off duty. No matter how much koolaid a person drinks there simply is no way a person can see this change being better.

The problems with the load board came real close to ending my relationship with mercer. Losing loads or even board position over something stupid like forgetting to log in at 71 hours instead of 72 hours while home is really going to make me want to stay here ain't it?

Fact is every single major flatbed carrier has the exact same customers with practically the exact same rates. Its the little things that set the carriers apart. The more bs mercer implements the less reason i have to be leased here. I'll make the same amount of money no matter if my truck has mercers, Bennett's or landstars name on the side. I came here because it was less bs than the other carriers. The day its no longer the least amount of bs to deal with is the day i leave.

 

Mine is free. For new hires i think its 3 bucks a month.

 

And sending out letters threatening to file criminal charges of theft if you don't return the trailer you have paid in full doesnt exactly breed loyalty.

This just happened to one of our contractors that cancelled his lease, got a quote from mercer for the amount owed on the trailer, sent them a check. Had the check cashed, and then recieved that. And a month later is STILL waiting on the title.

This is absolute inexcusable. Certainly isn't the same company it was just a year ago.

 

I admit, I am one who decided I did not like any change at all.life is good. If I was a younger man at Mercer, I would be thinking real hard about my own numbers and an older truck.

You all own a truck/trailer to have a degree of independence, not to be micro managed. This is from a longggg time Kool-aid drinker and server

 

Sad,,,, About the only things that remain of the Great company I knew for nearly 30 years are fast pay and the name on the door.

 

Ooooor you can tell your log auditor you'll be off for 3 days ahead of time so you won't have to log in to do anything..I think I read that right lol
