Your most pain in the ### freight

I forwarded the pic to my TM... He immediately contacted the terminal of origin. There were 15 bills buried behind those four skids.

I've also dealt with a skid of newspaper inserts that fell apart. Those also suck.

 

Neither sun, rain, hail, sleet: nor snow or crickets falling out of the sky will prevent Reddaway from delivering your junk mail.

 

When I worked for big R any office furniture that came out of Chicago Heights terminal was always destroyed and they sent it out for delivery so you could work around it all day

 

They didn’t even throw a strap around the skid ontop or put plywood between it and the bottom skid.

What do they think will hold such a heavy pallet in place?

Dockworkers or rather fellow drivers do this at my place too.

 

on talking to my bud he reminded me off the gym equipment we had to multi drop ..I tried to forget this shudder!!!!!,,,,only us Canadian only drivers got these loads .....pick trailer in yard drive 10mins to local "fitness depot" unload what they ordered ,put back on machines for other shops , drive 14hrs to next drop half the load off on dock (forklift guy was salesman so disappeared when customer in store) reload with other shops so the rest of the day delivering to local stores ooohhh my back ,then in the afternoon doing the run in reverse delivering the internals to stores ending back at main store late afternoon .think exercise bikes weights /bars nautilus machines then all load out (you brought it to back door ,as the lazy BSTRDS wouldn't drive forklift into trailer)...so then reload for next main "fitness depot" ,Drive another 10hrs and arrive go through the same crap again this time the little strip mall stores are manned by "little girls" that expect You to carry into the store not good and now to the last unload its a small store on a busy 4 lane highway ,,little B 888 wont help stop traffic so its a blind side across 4 lanes ,,watch the traffic lights 53ftr and a highway KW . by now its down to the skids at the front and usually its 2 skids weights and a couple of machines ....SHE refuses to enter trailer to assist by now your legs are wobbling its 25c outside and twice that inside and you have been there 3 hrs all for $75 and you are getting really pds off with the world. On my 2nd and last load like this I asked 2 street people what would they need to give me a hand ... a macky d each and a bottle when finished #### right I paid them !!!! we pilled the lot at the shop door when she left to deal with a customer took a photo sent it to dispatch ..took nearly 5hrs at that drop...gave the guys the meal and a bottle and $20.never given that run again. MY bud did though and ended up in "emergency room " as he slipped a disk dragging a machine to the back after store staff said no help!!,,drivers refused these loads until the company stopped hauling these #### loads. Even writing this brings bad memories back never ever again will I do loads like this would walk away first
