Yes. Hundreds of thousands (if not into the millions) of people think a DAC/HireRight Report "matters".Veteran driver Thanks this.

DAC Isn't worth the paper it's printed on.Autumn & I, fargonaz and Dennixx Thank this.

Says who? If you work for mom and pop maybe not. It's not just swift and Werner, etc using DAC. If I leave my company I will make #### sure nothing was put on it.

I've been at total about 5 months. No major complaints (except vans just dont pay enough). They take good care of the equipment, have good accounts and miles. Averaging 2833 per week so far. They get me home when i ask and have deadheaded me as much as 280miles to make sure i get there.

You can monitor what’s on a HireRight transcript. You are not held hostage by misinformation. You have the right to dispute it. Keep in mind that if the entries posted on your transcript are correct then there isn’t much you can do about it. As I said in a previous thread, HireRight is sanctioned under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
The Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 (“FCRA”) is U.S. Federal Government legislation enacted to promote the accuracy, fairness, and privacy of consumer information contained in the files of consumer reporting agencies.

If you think about it. You said you quit, but then you still drive to get to your car and turn in the truck. So you would have to abandon the truck to quit the way you said you did.
Here is how you quit a OTR company.
1. You give some provable notice like a employment end date and are routed to the terminal to complete the separation process.
2. You quit when you go home for time off.
Either way you are released from dispatch and logged off the computer ( if you use one).
You can not quit under dispatch nor get fired if you are still being instructed to and being paid to drive the truck. You would have to leave the equipment behind. Since this driver telegraphed his intentions on the road. The moment you got on their property you got fired.
Drivers, don't quit on the road. Just do it when you go home. It has worked for me every time.ladr Thanks this. -
I dont see a reply of what you refer to?
-
the only legal way to quit while on the road is to make up a story about how you are ill, and can't legally drive then they would have to organize a replacement driver to pick up the truck however you still don't abandon it you wait until the replacement driver gets there.
