They are just examples used to help explain a general question. Just because they mention "home" and "terminal" doesn't mean we are restricted to them.

Show me where pc is allowed in the actual regulations then?
And you might not believe those are the only examples, but we've had several scale and dot officers say on this forum that they give tickets and put people oos for using pc
I mean go ahead and plant your head in the ground, no skin off my back. Just please don't drag someone else with you.

And let's be clear. I'm quoting fmcsa regs and guidance, I'm not stating my personal opinion. I just don't want some rookie to get he cdl trashed by bad advice.

    ladr Thanks this.

How do you explain drivers who PC home but when dispatched over the phone at home have to go on duty right then and there at home, not returning to the point (terminal) where they originally went PC?

200 miles is easy. 200 miles in Atlanta though....Personally I've never had any issue with traffic when I went to Atlanta, but I will admit I've only been there a few times.
I'd be more worried not about the 200 miles, but the time needed to do the 200, plus the time needed to get to a truckstop that's not full. Hopefully it's a live unload as that's actually less on the clock as no need to post/pre the trailers.
