I get these conditional prehire job offers and they tell me to call them in the email to get things going and nobody ever answers always goes direct to voicemail.

The emails say be ready to answer the phone when we call then another email says.call me. So basically you have to stop your life and wait for whenever they decide to call because if you miss the call getting in contact again is a pain. I called the main customer service line I said can't we set an appointment time?

They say he's very busy on the phone alot and I get that. It's not hard to schedule a time to call or at very least a time frame within a few hours.

I would research those companies before you even talk with them.

The email tells you to answer the phone because most people don't these days. You want a job... make like you want the job... that will get their attention... it's kind of old school, but it used to work.

I think me calling back about 10 different times in 2 days all different hours shows I want the job. I missed the one call because I was doing a plumbing job stuck under a crawl space for 2 hours. Nobody has their phone on them 24/7 every second of the day. What if I take a #### and I miss the call? What if I take a shower? I can call right back and nobody answers.

Dude you need them for your CDL because of your financial situation as you have stated. Be patient... If you don't like waiting fork over the money and get your CDL from a private schooling... Your dealing with Mega Bottom Feeder Driver Mills... They really dont care about you... Be patient.

Sounds more like one recruiter... not all of them... might want to rethink the company you are applying to. Example, when I got into the business I made two calls... one I chose not to go with, the other I went with.

    Two calls.

Nobody said I don't like waiting but when they specifically tell me to call them in emails and don't answer 10 different times in 2 days that's frustrating. I know they don't care but recruiters make money....um recruiting. Maybe he made enough money this week lol
