Pretty much standard procedure that stuff don't hit your DAC until you have parted ways with the company. I had a safety guy tell me that when I worked at Jim Palmer trucking back in the day. Not saying I agree with it, that whole DAC thing is kinda of a joke anyways.

It happened to me too. Checked my DAC before i started looking for a new job. It was clean. After 3 1/2 years I wanted a new job with the opportunity to be home more.
So I accepted a job that turned out to be a pile of ####ty lies. So I quit after 10 days.
Started looking for a new job. Found a sweet dedicated run right from where I live. Would have been home every other night and 2 days off every week. I apply... get declined because of my DAC.
Turns out Magnum put 4 things on my DAC.
2 times that my truck got hit while parked. Why report that to DAC? Cause they don’t trust your telling the truth? Why else would the report something that had absolutely nothing to do with your driving.
1 preventable backing accident/incident when I cracked my plastic bumper on a snow bank trying to back into a tight dock in Chicago. Take a tight dock area, put a 6 foot snowbank in front of you and it was almost impossible without pushing into the snow bank a bit.... that snow gets awful hard up north!
1 preventable backing accident/incident when I had a trailer tail malfunction. I shut both tails, and while backing into the dock door with the trailer doors closed, one of the tails opened and knocked the dock door off track. No damage to the tail and the dock door just needed to be put back on track. It was fixed before my truck was even empty. But the reciever made me fill out a report. I don’t even consider it my fault. To me it’s faulty equipment.
All of these things are over 2 1/2 years old. The only reason to report these to DAC is to #### the driver.
I can’t even express how disappointed I am in Magnum. When I called and said I may come back to Magnum, I was met with enthusiastic open arms. Why would you want me back if you report me like I am a dangerous driver??? But I thought I may not have another choice unless I go to some #### outfit...
But I start with another company on Monday. Small place with only 25 drivers.
I always helped other drivers, brought many drivers to Magnum. I tried to PM new guys from here and answer any questions they had. I promoted Magnum. I didn’t drink the cool aid....I MADE the ####ing cool aid. And this is how they treated me.
I never got a call from safety, I never got put on probation. Never heard a word after the initial email I sent in. Nothing till 2 1/2 years later...
I post this because I will still speak about the positives at Magnum. But with the good comes the bad. That’s honesty...Last edited: Dec 1, 2017

Hey @Chinatown check this out. Pretty disturbing news above.

I just find it hard to believe that someone here at magnum is sitting behind a computer desk and saying f*** that mike guy, let's screw him over.
It just seems like something that can be corrected by talking to the right person at magnum. Now it would be very s***** if you even had to put in the effort to protect your employment history that you should not have to protect in the 1st place.
I have to play devil's advocate and ponder the possibility that some untrained personnel might have clicked a a button somewhere without thinking about what was happens when they pressed that button.
I completely believe and am on board with the fact that you do not deserve what happened . But i can't just point fingers at magnum like someone is out to get you and they're intentionally trying to hurt drivers.
I'm not trying to be Mr. Positive in trying to act like magnum is perfect . In my mind I'm just trying to be rational.
I can't simply sit here and say f*** magnum because magnum screwed over a cool guy who does not deserve to be screwed over . But I can say that magnum screwed up and you did not deserve this so whatever the process is for drivers leaving magnum I think that process needs to be fixed. I don't think anyone is trying to s**** y** over but I do believe that some kind of process is screwed up and needs to be corrected.Last edited: Dec 2, 2017
Ray Strack, Need4Speed and carramrod32 Thank this. -
You can challenge what’s on your DAC. If they don’t respond in 30 days after the challenge is made the information must be removed.
Woobie, Winnyf1 and Ray Strack Thank this.
