Gut instinct and a bit of performance tossed into the mix. Has worked for me for a long time. I bet your Dac is spotless (yawn).

So a driver just walks in says I’m a good driver
Your hired
Regardless of insurance and legal requirements -

If he says he's Mike from Magnum - all day, every day!

If a company is going to look at the DAC and blindly make a choice to not hire someone based on an entry with such little information, then i would not want to work with that company anyway.
All the report says is "this stuff happened". If the company is not going to ask the driver about them, then the company is ####. If you're asking about the entries and using your judgement of the drivers character, then THAT is how you find good drivers. Not by looking at an empty record of history.
If I have something on my record and you judge me without asking about it, then maybe I don't want to work for you anyway.
I may be new, but the more I think about the DAC, the more I realize it helps both carriers and drivers. It creates dialogue between good drivers and good carriers. If you want to be gamed by the system, then you can subscribe to the idea that a clear DAC history makes you an excellent driver.
I'm sure most of us with a brain will agree @ncmickey is a decent human being with good character. Someone like him will be able to find a decent carrier with brains. Maybe the person who decided not to hire ncmickey on at that company had no brains. Maybe it was best a good driver does not work for someone like that, who doesn't ask questions.
The hit here does not go to a company who reports the info. The real hit goes to the douches who decide not to hire a driver because of an entry without talking to the driver. -
Let's move on from DAC and discuss productive issues on returning Magnum to its pre "current operation manager" status. It really was an awesome company!
Pigbacon Thanks this. -
First time for everything I suppose. Yesterday I finished my load and didn't know where I was going next. First time Magnum has done that to me. Only took an hour to get my reload info, but I hope it doesn't become a habit.

I don't know what it was like "before". But I've only been driving for 15 months and I'm kicking ### and taking names. I get rewarded for working hard without the experience.
The little things like dashcams, the new "DM system", and whatnot fall by the wayside when you just do the right things and shoot for your goals.
It takes a little part out of me when people talk about Magnum being great in past-tense. Because here i am living the dream, why can't more people come here and do the same thing?
Unfortunately, I can't help people who think I'm a koolaid drinker, instead of someone who is simply currently happy and successful.
Btw, @Magnumite, I do not intend to sound like I'm attacking you because I quoted you. I went off on a tangent lol these are only my opinions. I mean well! -
Keep sucking up. You'll be prosperous.
