    It's snowing, you're loaded about 30k...

Going up a mountain one lane each direction with twisty curves... you're already only going maybe 15 mph but you go around a curve and see a fedex pulling triples stuck and wheels sliding on ice..
Lane is completely blocked, there is no shoulder.

You've only got a couple seconds to make a decision...

    Do you..

A: attempt to stop but risk sliding off the mountain or best can sceario stop in time but then also be stuck on ice being a ticking time bomb for someone else to slide into you.

B: Go around the truck into on coming traffic and hope no other car/truck is coming around the curve in the opposite direction, if there is there'd be a for sure accident.

Risk either way, what do you do?

    C. Pull on shoulder. It will have more traction, or rumble strips to bite. If not chain up. Don't forget your flashers. But if your at top of hill, maybe you could pull up the FedEx and call police.

What if the shoulder is completely snow and ice covered?Normal circumstances I'd see what I could do to help FedEx but in a situation such as this you should worry about yourself.Someone probably already called 911.

I can put chains on. With weight you can go through a lot of snow.

    Grrrrr. Hate these decisions.

    C) Not be there. If you’re company, then -
    D) Stop on shoulder , hazards, triangles, chain up drives, check on Fed Ex, reassess.

Honestly I’d be inclined to take B) - only if there was decent visibility - but it’d be a snap decision, and you may find another blockage further on , making the risk/reward ratio moot.

    Any other brain teasers?

Slow down to give FedWrecks enough time to slide off the road and then you can carry on.

Based on the information you gave, I'd probably stop since it sounds like you can't really see around the curve.
