what I mean is, the pay rate must be different for different regions of the country they are advertising in. And I was incorrect, they're ad was for $750/wk not $850.Last edited: Sep 25, 2015

I lived in the Central Valley a couple years and it's absolutely baffling to me how no one wants to pay for truck drivers in CA. Here in Chicagoland most jobs are starting at 20 an hour minimum or 50 cents a mile. In CA you routinely see ads on craigslist offering 14 an hour or .32 per mile. It's a joke considering the cost of living out there.
Cali kid Thanks this. -

Drivers starting pay is $25 hr. Top pay is. Well no one knows. The longer u stay the more u make. Old drivers make well over $40hr. 4 days week. Goin on my 2nd yr working there n i make close to $28hr.

Crazy to think that a driver delivering hamburger stuff makes more than most fuel, chemical, and other nasty stuff drivers deliver.Last edited: Dec 28, 2017

True that, ever since going to working for a private fleet it would be hard to go back.

I totally agree. This seems to be industry wide. In fact I developed a theory that many new hires are unaware that they paid .36 or whatever for decades... it's substandard pay today.line Thanks this.
