I like the way you think, but should you be driving a tractor&trailer if you don’t know this already?

I had been looking into the Knoxville location. They advertise twenty-four something dollars an hour.

Do you enjoy it? Are you strictly linehaul or do you switch between that and p&d?

What is the scoop on the vacation hotels they own? Do you really get completely free stays each year?

I enjoy it . I just go to Wamsutter, Wyoming every night and swap trailers with a driver from Denver . Doubles usually , and they usually hook them up for me in the yard . I break my set down when I get to the yard and the yard dog puts my rear trailer in the hole and spots my dolly for me, I leave out about 1130 at night , I get back around 830 , 503 miles RT. I don’t switch between linehaul and PND, although there are driver’s that do, they are called combo drivers and they get paid by the hour.

Linehaul pays a flat rate, averaging out to $24-$26 an hour with a graduated increase over three years . If you have to go on the clock for any reason you will start out at $24 an hour. PND drivers in Salt Lake make 27 Dollars an hour from the moment they clock in till they clock out, even if they have to wait a few hours for their trailer to be ready

They pay for your lodging at the company resorts like Pigeon Forge or Daytona. You can go as often as you like it and it is completely free. They have a lot more money in real estate than transport , and they own a dozen other businesses .

I team drive with my wife. Weve been here 4 years and plan on retiring here. They pay linehaul by the run. P and D are paid hourly. Pay varies by terminal. Our team linehaul run pays 384 each way. I get 384 and my wife gets 384. Its a dedicated run 5 days a week. We run from Milton Fl and meet a solo out of Wilmington Ohio in Lebanon junction KY. We swap sets and head back. We live5 minutes from terminal and we go home for 3 to 4 hrs every day. We both gross 1920 week each. Thats each for those that think its together. I make 95k gross a year and my wife makes 95k a year gross. We have stayed at Daytona beach hotel and its totally free. We get 2 rooms since we both work here and bring our children and their grandchildren. We have paid off all debt except for our home.
