This will make it easier for me. If I drive for 4 hours then get sleepy and take a 2 hour nap how much time would I have left? I swear if someone says 5 I quit. I could definitely not make a living doing that.
8/2 split????

Assuming you started from a fresh 10 hour break. You're still only going to have the lesser of 11-4 (7), or remaining on 70, [or remaining on the 14], to drive.

Yeah I get it I was just hoping it was different than what I was sure it was. I guess they're thinking was they was going to force us to sleep and rest a whole lot more but honestly the way it works out is if you get sleepy stay your ### behind the wheel or you lose money. This s*** did not help anybody safer it made it worse. To be quite honest with you as far as me when it's time for your 10 hour it's hard to just jump right in the sleeper and go to sleep, but hey people that never drove for a living Knows Best

Don't be a smart ###. Everyone has been driving in the rain or whatever after being I the truck for 20+ days and just start getting sleepy. Everyone super trucker even you. When you read in this forum now days 60% of the comments have nothing to do what the thread is about and always seem to be trying to talk down on someone.

You pick up hours when you complete the split.
It gets a little complicated, but split breaks and multiple destination loads work out better than trying to take a 10 hour break lots of times.
It can also get you home, if you go out and back, a couple hours sooner.
