Does SWIFT run background checks before sending a bus ticket?

Considering his post, I guess he was arrested and charged with a crime of some sort. Swift won't hire him. Recruiters LIE! He's not worth our time either since he hasn't engaged in the discussion.

 

They will check it when you go through orientation. I just did orientation for Swift in September. A few guys made all the way through the Academy and to orientation on the second day then the safety and compliance gals started rounding up the bad seeds with background issues and kicking them out.

 

Considering his username I think Swift would really want him.

To the OP, if the charges are "Pending" I would be wary of going anywhere that might impede your ability to show up in Court.

 

You would think people would do their own homework before going to any trucking company, such as pulling their own MVR, Background Checks, and so on

 

You're talking about people who piss hot, then want to know why they can't find a job. In other words, not the sharpest bulbs in the crayon box.

 

Do trucking companies care about “not at fault” accidents?

 

That's what I used to think before reading this board for so many years.

 

So when I go to the swift academy I will find out within a few days if there's something in my background that may prevent me from working for them...even when my recruiter said my background was good?
