I delivered to a place and told them I had a cable seal and I lost my cutters .. he gave me a L shaped round bar about 8 inches long and chuckled.. not wanting to look like a dummy I went to the back of my trailer and stared at the bar a few minutes till I figured out you just insert between the cable and spin till cable snaps .. now that's my way to break cables as easy as can be

What does that do; soften the lead?

No.... it melts the cable on the curbature and separates due to "tension".

Lowe's or Home Depot in the tool isle or in the electrical isle. I have a small set of cable cutter pliars for the smaller cable seals, and they make a bigger set for the bigger cable. Or, a battery powered dremel with a cutoff wheel works. I use to deliver to Lowe's D/Cs and they used a cordless highspeed grinder for cable and bolt seals.

C'mon now...we're suppose to do physical labor? :eek:Some of the drivers I see out here either wouldn't know how to use one of those, or would be exhausted by the time they got thru the seal...o_O

Just take an average screwdriver, push between the cable and the door latch and twist. Ten seconds tops with almost any cable seal.

I googled “curbature” with no results.
    What is it?
