With the economy the way it is an freight slow I've heard but I'm not positive that the schooling company's have shut down all schools till later on.

You could talk to Prime. They are a good company, despite the bad press by whiners on this site and others, and have a great training program. Not a school... you train IN THE TRUCK on the road. That's where I started.

Not a good time to get into trucking. Schneider shut down their school, no date on when it is reopening. Freight volumes are some of the worst I have ever seen out here. Most of my buddies have closed shop, lost the truck, starving to death or leasing on with the mega carriers as I have done.
I would look around your neighborhood and see if you can somehow create your own job. Cleaning windows, carpentry, lawn care, etc... Funny thing is, you will probably make more money in your own back yard.
Mike -
since fng is not providing all of his information like he did in another post I copied and pasted it from his other post.
Makes me wonder if he was attempting to conceal info on his applications to the carriers that he was complaining about.
