Enjoying this Texas heat, picking up in Houston and going up to Williston. Trying to plan this route out...looks like back roads all the way up. Then planned on another run South #truckerlife

Nice! My load from fargo to OH, my ticket home, was given to another driver for home time. Now they got me on a load to Orlando, dead head to NC, and then unloading in MI. Was told my trailer would be in the yard at 6pm. Its almost 12am, no trailer, no load offer. HIGH FIVES!!
I should call after hours and get a weather update
dedrouteCO and mattbh23 Thank this. -
D-man idle timer got set on my truck during my PM two days ago, d-man thing has already shut off twice backing into tight spots. I'm curious how much the rate of backing incidents will increase with drivers taking less time to carefully back? If I wanted to be treated like a child, I would go back to Crete, at least there I would make another nickle a mile and not have to deal with reefer BS.
txtodd Thanks this. -

What’s yours set at for time? I should give you 5 min....just wait for the first traffic jam and you’ll have it cut off while your stuck lol.
Yeah we are still a good company if you value hometime and newer equipment and hands off management, the problem is there are other companies that offer similar benefits (outside of the hometime policy) for experienced drivers with faster trucks etc.
It’s horses for courses, we had to many drivers with excessive idling and instead of addressing the matter with the specific drivers we got a blanket policy...you adapt and of it gets to uncomfortable hey you were looking for a job when you found this one right?
