I was rejected by my 2 ex-wives. Been married 14 years now and things are going very well. Thanks for asking.

No worries. It was probably the biggest favor they ever did for me. If life was always fair I think it would get boring.

    Real stats.

Like 58% of new BCO's quit or get fired, most get fired in the first year.

After the first year it goes down to like 6%.

    Why do they get fired?

  9. When you take a "burger flipper" in the unemployment line. And tell him we retrain you for a better job. They offer medical transcription
    OR
    Truck driver

Billie burger flipper says medical scrubs are for girls train me as a truck driver.

Now after 6 weeks Billie is now Billie bigRigger.

After having no money from burger job saved up. He's got no.money while on the big road.
He takes cash advances ( taking what paycheck he would of gotten from driving)
    His rate being .27/mile = $540. For 2000 miles let's say.
He eats large at taco Bell or restaurants and blows $300. In a week. Not to mention all the sodas or coffee or even energy drinks. Another $150. He blows

Now he doesn't have clean clothes or enough clothes thus buys a jacket or pants.

Abouy now he gets back to his terminal to get paid or get a truck. He ends up with $100. Maybe that's being generous.

He thinks I did all these miles for 100 bucks. I could make more flipping burgers.

Thus the poor Billie is back at home quiting or fired.

    Tolmie Thanks this.

Well, that’s more inline with quitting as a company driver. But Landstar is owner op, so I am not sure about taking the advanced pay part. So what’s the real reason they get fired?

Landstar doesn’t suffer fools. Two service failures, a few failed roadsides, two tickets, an accident, couple serious log violations any combination of the above = buh byes.
