If you got a good trucking job making real money,
That's not the time to relax.
That's the time suck it up and get greedy.
Get every penny you can get while the goings good.

Wake up one morning and it could be all gone.
There's always a mega looking to weasel there way in
And push wages back To the 1980'S.

Look at Walmart, they thought it would never happen
To them. There cutting them back to beginner pay
And they got 8 trillion cash in the bank.
They could have easily just added one penny to
Everything they sell and gave everybody a raise or
At least not cut the pay. But noooo, there greedy
    They want it all.

Could happen at poly or anywhere else.

Believe me, that’s why I only do it half the year. My nerves aren’t made of steel anymore.

May Trucking. Specifically, I run out of Pensacola, FL. I say that because all the terminals are kinda like mini companies. They all do things a little differently.

I like May because they’re true long haul. I also get left alone. They’re not perfect, but who is?

poly is long and short haul.
It's up to the driver what he wants.
I'm all long haul all the time. It's where I make the
    Most money.
That's all I'm out here for. My sight seeing days
    Have long been over.

I didn't think you could make that type of
    Money at May trucking.
I see them mostly on the west coast.

I posted my last 6 checks above. I probably won’t make as much as some of the guys like you and a few others over there that actually will run, but I do pretty good as you can see.

Also, they treat me very well over here and that has value to me as well.

Also, I’m like Johnboy, I can make more money (.57 cpm, .47 as a solo) if I ever need/want to by training. I RARELY do that, however, because I just don’t like sharing my space. Lol

There are definitely some things I like about Poly, but not enough to make me want to change. The one thing I know that would drive me nuts over there is the breakdowns and shop horror stories I hear if that’s true.

I got a brand new truck last year and will get another one in a couple of months if I want it. And, our shops do a good job.

The bad about May is our trucks are some of the slowest on the road (61 mph), and the terminals all have crappy, gravel parking lots.

I can’t do anything about the slow trucks, but I just avoid the terminals unless I need service so that solves that problem.

    As long as your happy.
If I have to run team or train to make a decent living
Then I'm done with the road.
I'm not living in a closet with a complete stranger.
I don't want anybody in my truck but a woman.
    At least they smell good.
