I spent almost an entire year only making 2k after fuel. Never ran over a thousand miles a week during that time and never spent more than 1 night a week in the truck. Was perfect while it lasted, not to many truck owners are able to be around the family like that. Not all of us are so far in debt we need to make 4500 a week.

You can't make 2k a week after fuel and still have to to take out a 700 a week truck payment along with maintenance. Come on @spyder7723 lol
-
That's not bring home 2k.. He has a lease truck from Schneider
-
Most of the country survives on less. Would i be happy with 1300 after fuel and truck lease payment? Of course not. But if he is, who am i to tell him how to live his life?Last edited: Apr 8, 2018
Highway Sailor and RStewart Thank this. -
You don't think that hurts the rates for others
-
It doesn't hurt anything. Just because he works cheaper than you doesn't mean you have to work as cheap as him. Get real man. Let people run their business how they want, worry about your own business.
Exactly what Spyder said.Highway Sailor and spyder7723 Thank this. -
One guy isn't going to effect rates. He doesn't negotiate rates. Those loads will get covered no matter if he hauls them or not. I did not watch his videos so i don't know what he is hauling but (for the purposes of this discussion) let's assume he is running super cheap at 1.30 to a 1.50 a mile. I see a lot of freight posing that and don't haul any of it. The rates still stay low case someone will. It is not my place to tell him, or anyone else, what money they should make on a load. I dont agree with his choices, and will voice my opinion on that, but at the end of the day he is a grown man and free to make his own choice.
Edit you add: any discussion about knocking a guy for running for less than i will, or less than john doe will, is stupid and and an act of hypocrisy. I recently ran a 6100$ load on 1950 miles, which i thought was awesome. I guaranty you that just around the corner is a guy who thinks I'm killing rates by running it so cheap.Last edited: Apr 8, 2018
Highway Sailor Thanks this. -
He had another video showing his Jan numbers and his revenue was about 18k. He had a net profit of about 9k. That was before paying himself and I believe before retaining some for maintenance. His all miles rate for the month was 1.81 and he said that was with a lot of empty miles so I don’t think he is hauling cheap stuff.spyder7723 Thanks this.

So the 2k after fuel comment corso made is a bunch of crap?
-
He did say that in the comments of the video Corso referenced, but I’m not sure if he was just talking about fuel or all expenses even though he did say that was after fuel and before truck payment and maintenance. He then referenced the Jan numbers video which shows the breakdown in his TrucknPro app.Rickp and spyder7723 Thank this.
