Started driving this am sounds like a mouse is in my truck. If I see a mouse I'll prob lose my #### lol

 

I paid an accountant one year & realized I just paid them $375 to use turbo tax. I do them myself now.

 

Just so you know, you don't have to do quarterly taxes if you don't want to.

 

Really? I had no idea I'd rather just pay it all when taxes are done.

 

Lol. Ive spot checked myself a few years where i use turbo tax then pay a guy to do them and see how different it is. The cost to have him do it is always higher than the difference in taxes he comes up with. Not sure id use turrbo tax for an amendment though. Raises too many flags at the irs

 

No one is required to pay quarterly unless they get a letter from irs stating they have to. I was told once you start quarterly you can't change it though. Might wanna check before you stop doing it.

 

I've never paid quarterly but you might check like Rickp said and see if you can quit doing it. I've also heard others say you get penalized for not paying quarterly but I never have been.

 

Just put money aside each quarter as an estimate for your final tax bill. It will make April more pleasant.
