D.O.T. PHYSICAL [ somebody help me ]

Lol it's not like that. My one student was actually prescribed lower doses of oxycodone. He got a letter from doctor passed his DOT physical and told the company and guess what he's been driving for 6 months now still doing good he got in a motorcycle accident and his leg is messed up after surgery. Like he doesn't abuse it takes when needed.

 

Note the most important thing I said he passed his DOT physical with that prescription

 

Sometimes if you are totally honest on the physical form list all meds and have a legit prescription pill bottle with docs name on it a ME will go on ahead and ok you. One really important point on this. No matter if you have a letter or not. Make sure you get a copy of that signed long form as well as the letter just in case a MRO contacts you after a drug test comes back hot. Once faxed to MRO your good to go.

 

Dot physical doesn’t do drug testing. You can do all the meth, coke and weed you want. That’s on the employer to do that if they chose to do preemployment drug screening. Well in Pa anyhow

 

They don’t test for benzos (that’s what I meant when I said barbiturates, same thing I guess). Can you believe that? I dunno, I grew up in the “take a perc, go to work” era (not that I ever indulged, but back in the day it was prevalent). But it’s fine to ride around whacked on V’s?!?? Crazy

 

You don’t tell your company ANYTHING about any meds you take. You tell the MRO all that stuff. Don’t give your company anything to use against you.

 

Its on the Long form ...the Company retains a copy of it
They know your personal doctor, the meds they prescribed, etc

Short of leaving your personal doctor business/meds
off of the DOT form you are 100% exposed

They ( the Feds ) are working on CDL drivers ( Pilots , etc ) prescriptions be put into a data base so the 'system' operators have access to ALL personal data

Nothing can be covered up or hidden

 

Let’s throw some gas on this. Anxiety is a disorder that is covered under the ADA act. So does anyone have a right to violate this act.

 

Seriously tho this is a fact and I may get some pissed off people... buuuutttt.. If everyone on the #### road popped a mild benzos 1 or 2mg...... I'd bet America would be like japan... everyone calm and nice and fuzzy. No road rage or idiots.. edit mild doses don't make you black out or lose you mind.. it's a clear feeling
