It may just be luck of the draw, but since my 1 year anniversary with Shaffer, I have had a very nice series of loads. 850 miles, 2250 miles, 1050 miles, 2400 miles, 1400 miles, 1650 miles, 1500 miles.
I am definitely happy with this change. If drivers with more than one year with the company consistently get better loads, like these, then 70k this year might be easier than I thought.
If I've just gotten lucky, then I'm sure the luck will swing the other way soon and I will get a string of terrible loads to offset my recent good luck.
I've noticed something interesting after my 1 year anniversary.

You always take the good with the bad. I am in an awesome week myself. In fact 2 weeks of long loads.
Farmerbob1 and bzinger Thank this. -
I had a long load today.
IluvCATS Thanks this. -
Trucking is feast and famine to me. I think you are feasting now. Enjoy the ride. But put something aside wherever possible because it's like the weather. It can change on you if you like it a bit much a hour later.
The kind of loads you are putting on your truck might even tell you a clue about how thing are going much better than any old newspaper.
Enjoy your loads. Just pace yourself and don't burn out. What with the current HOS that should not be too difficult.Farmerbob1 Thanks this.
