58 mph? That’s not possible sir. I was slowing down to stop at Juan’s Taco Stand on up the shoulder. Must have been someone else.IluvCATS Thanks this.

Not these warnings. These are straight officer friendly-genuine-public-awareness-and-then-have-nice-day warnings. You guys should try these things over in AZ. It’s better on the PSP score and the pocket book.

Everyone except Prime & CRENGLAND.
Except when the snow flies, then Casper pretty much passes all.WesternPlains Thanks this. -
I don't think there is such a thing as officer friendly.
Police, especially state police, don't waste their time.
Those are being counted someplace.shogun Thanks this. -
I have never got a satisfactory answer when I ask law enforcement supervisors what the difference is between a verbal warning and a written one. Best answer I have got to date is a written one accounts for the officers time and documents the outcome of a stop.

After years of being a cop, a verbal is one of two situations. He didn’t feel like writing the ticket because it wasn’t a grave enough violation or he is out of tickets. I worked at a dept where you had to write the ticket and then write warning on it just so you could show stats at the end of the month for traffic enforcement. We didn’t have a quota, but you did want to show that you were working.
Studebaker Hawk and IluvCATS Thank this. -
I was sometimes officer friendly in my day. One time I was heading up the interstate around midnight and I came upon a W900 rolling about 80 with some type of building equipment. I hollered at him on the Cb and asked him why he was in such a hurry and he told me he was headed somewhere to take a part there for a shutdown, and they needed it fast.
I told him if that truck could roll I would take the front door, he said no you are just setting me up for a ticket. I said I wouldn’t do that, let’s ride. I took him as far north as I covered, and would you know that truck was capable of triple digits. I am a unicorn!!!MACK E-6, LoneCowboy, Dave_in_AZ and 1 other person Thank this. -

Especially when they're running the 'nip and they're high on their own product.
WesternPlains and IluvCATS Thank this.
