As soon as you got stopped by him,you should have gone to line 4;Roadside Inspection,Fixed Scale Inspection or whatever it is called by that app to show an inspection. Doing that would show that you were legal before he stopped you and that he was the one that ran your clock out. You could then fight it. -
Absolutely and the funny thing about it is he was using me to make his statement about the tablet not being connected to the truck. It was interesting how he presented himself. He was saying his wife works for a carrier and he knows better. I believe he couldnt say anything about the tablet because when the truck would move it automaticly put me on the drive line. I told the company owner and he agreed that he was just using me to annoy him.

Not driving. LoL! You have to be messing up pretty good around here to get a Trooper to bother with you! I wouldn't do that just anywhere!

Yup yup i watch 4 wheelers. Holding phone low and are texting like crazy. Head bent down..worse now.BigBob410 Thanks this.

Agreed.
Tablets aren't much better. The tablet this company has in my truck will let pop-ups appear over the eLog app that have to be dealt with if I want to see my hours remaining clock. Messing with those is no different in my opinion to messing with a phone. I gave up and check my hours remaining before driving and just turning the tablet screen off while I'm driving because its worthless.BigBob410 Thanks this. -
Whole different set of rules for cops. Here in Utah our cops are on their phones most of the time they are driving, or messing with their computers. Got a friend who is a city cop and he said they don't have time to stop to use their devices or they'd never get anywhere, but that it is supposed to be OK because they are better drivers than the rest of us.cdavis188, Jayatlswag, BUMBACLADWAR and 1 other person Thank this.

On another note...Man them tinted windows sure make my truck look good.

Him keeping you long enough to run out of hours and then citing you for an HOS violation is something you just made up.
HOS only regulates your driving time. You can be on-duty 24/7 as long as you don't drive. He can't cite you for being on duty beyond your 14, as that is completely legal. -
Not exactly. Just left consignee with 30 min. left on my 14 hrs. That means i still have 30 min. I can work or drive. I think if you are a driver it is important to know how this works. You can drive 11 hours a day and you can work 14 hours a day. You can not work 14 hours and 30 minutes. That will exceed the limit.
