Worst truck stop you have been to

Next time Haj gets po’d about something and wants to blow poop up, he needs to get the GPS coordinates for West Memphis and the surrounding area and start bombing the place.

 

I know right. When I ran team from NC to California that is where we normally did a driver switch. Nasty. Stayed just long enough to pre trip and fuel. North Little Rock down the road is not much better IMO.

 

Thank goodness they put that N Little Rock Loves out of it's misery a few months ago. Now they need to move down the road to Palestine and do the same.

 

Did they close that crap hole? And are they going to remodel it? I never stopped there and never would...just curious.

 

They tore it down but I can not see them putting another "travel center" there because the lot is too small. Maybe a "country store" for cars only? That's what I'd do. But I haven't heard anything

 

It seems like all the older Love’s stops through Arkansas, Texas, and Kentucky are bad enough I avoid them. Of course the worst of them is still the one near Tacoma. That one needs a b-52 strike.

 

Are there any other public scales in that general vicinity (besides the place way over in Sumner)? If not, don't kill that site until we have another scale option in the SeaTac area.

Gateway Truck Plaza in Rose City, Texas, west of Vidor. Motel upstairs is creepy, restaurant is dirty, and the whole place just gives off an unpleasant feeling. Although I heard years back the restaurant did give truckers a free steak dinner with purchase of 100 gallons of fuel.
