Running with JCT, Part Deux

Lol...don't you know every time you get pulled over you're getting ####ed?

Anyone else noticed that JCT using a lot of BF Goodwrench tires on the trailers lately...?

 

Haven't paid attention to tire brand. But, hey, it's their money.

 

Unless they are L/P operators, and secretly in the lease. They are paying for the tires for the trailers.

 

What? JCT pays for the trailers tires. Not the L/O. My point that I don’t care what brand of tires are on the trailer as long as they are DOT legal, so, I don’t look at tire brand as part of my checks.

 

Driver intentionally service fails my swap to force JCTs hand only to find out I wasn't playing...because I was asleep.

Put my trailer in the shop pre swap for tires, not done by time driver arrives, swap because it should be done pretty quick.

Wake up to messages to call dispatch immediately when done with break but didn't set an alarm because of excess time on this new load. So I took a 13 hour break.

Come to find out the driver didn't start his break until the trailer was out of shop. He was already irritated at JCT for making him miss home time by a day. So best guess he was trying to force them to find him another swap...

Enter me. They wanted me to re take my original load, deliver, then pick his load back up again and deliver it too so he could go home. Which I would have done because I need the miles after being down for 3 days. Buuuuut...dispatch was gun shy about calling my phone during break.

Now he has to deliver a service failed Walmart/Tyson...which will probably take longer than if he just did it on time.

 

Sounds like he got his payback for his intentional failure.

 

The thing is no matter what happened he wouldnt have gotten home any earlier.

Whether he delivered the load that we swapped or if we went with the new Rescue plan he still would have gotten home today...
