But I thought owner ops wanted 18 year olds to be able to get CDLs?
There’s a whole thread about how responsible they are.
Plus without the Megas, who’s gonna provide the necessary training?
    .
Daddy may have taught you to drive, but you didn’t have any offspring to keep the seats full of new drivers.

I was backed into once, and had someone sideswipe a fender, both times was by independent O/O's. Both of them wanted to just pay me some money on the spot to forget about it, but I didn't take the bait, the damage was more than what they would have given me. Are some carriers more likely because the experience level of the driver is lower, probably, but, both of mine were guys who had 10+ years on the road, so it can happen to anyone.

The amount of evidence on YouTube alone contradicts your sentiments with ease.
