I'm currently in school. Graduate May 30th and as the subject says I recently received a speeding ticket. The ticket will be dismissed after I do community service. Is this going to hinder my chances even if the ticket gets dismissed? And I'm also supposed to ship out for Melton June 3rd if everything plays out correctly and the ticket doesn't hinder my chances. What is your honest opinion on Melton and what are some decent (I know I can't be extremely selective being a new driver) that will hire people with a bad MVR.
I appreciate the help!
Thanks

you're lucky it can be dismissed, i'd have thought it couldn't be.
the REAL QUESTION to ask YOU is..."did you learn a valuable lesson"?
for the life of me, you're IN truck driving school.....aren't they telling you about tickets, citations, accidents and such and how it affects YOUR JOB?????
i do not know if the ticket stills shows on your record or not, or any mention of a ticket THEN a dismissal.
things have a way of being SLOW in the system, it very well may show up.
you really should be at your DMV asking them that.
good luck -
Tickets all depend on who is looking to hire you... I had 2 failure to stops... One at a railroad... Both in my personal vehicle... Safety guy, who also did the hiring looked at it and said "no problems here, hope you got it out of your system"...
But they can build up to a point where they will affect weather you can be hired.Puppage and bigcountrync89 Thank this. -

That is true... I guess it would play a lot more of a roll when you are a fresh rookie

I'm not replying, you guys are doing a great job explaining it to him, thanks
buddyd157 Thanks this. -
Could be wrong, but I am under the impression that a person could not take a CDL test with a pending (unresolved) moving violation.

i thought about that as well....could be a state by state thing, if it's on the federal level, i cannot say.
