I get it. I imagine it's only a matter of time before they start assigning specific routes and fuel stops with loads. Along with reefer temp checks, etc.
I remember at Stevens, every time you entered the yardyyou had to complete a checklist of signatures before you were allowed out of the gate. Some drivers had to wait there for days. I hope that never happens here.
Right now for me though, I'm still happy where I'm at.
I also acknowledge the list of reasons drivers should come here is getting slimmer.

Started this month slow with home time from May 2-8.
From home time in Michigan:
1. Picked up in Columbus OH and dropped in Coon Rapids MN
2. Picked up in Newport MN and delivered in Aurora CO
3. Picked up a pre-loaded trailer in Ft Collins CO and dropped at the Bismarck ND terminal
4. Picking up right now in Jamestown ND headed for Harrisburg PA
At this rate, I may still be able to reach 11,500 miles this month! Once I deliver in PA on the 15th I’ll have 5175 miles for May.
My main long-term goal is to own a home in the US and one in the Philippines. This is really what drives me right now (pun intended). This job provides me with a clear path to accomplish this. So please forgive my occasional arrogance when I post here. My excitement gets the best of me and sometimes it’s hard for me to understand why people don’t look past things that I seem to be able to look past. I never intend to offend anyone, but I know people get sick of my “Uber positivity” and say I’m the “ultimate n00b”. But this goal is literally what gets me out of bed every morning and excites me. As long as my path is clear like it is right now, I’m high on life.Zangief, mattbh23, radioshark and 3 others Thank this. -
Ran a hazmat up, delivers monday, will have 7800 miles when the local guy delivers it. Sitting at the house getting a 34 in, grilling steaks with my $188 bonus, then off to aberdeen. Gonna make my numbers well before memorial, then take a week off.
If this is frog soup, the broth is pretty darn tasty.Zata40 Thanks this. -
Got a broker special! 322 mile dead head to AL because they couldnt find anything else. I confirmed with CH all my numbers, pickup date, delivery date... cool. Im sprinting there to have an easy day and be in a day early. Call the broker today to see if theyll take it a day before out of curiosity. This time broker is saying it delivers the 14th and not 15th. Shut down and re-check everything and call them back up to reconfirm info... I get a whole new story this time.
Was suppose to deliver on 14th but someone said driver needed to reset hours so they pushed it back to 15th (I asked if she had a name on who called in and couldnt get one). So I told the lady that Im getting different stories from different people. I dont know whats going on but I'll see them on the 14th.
I'll be ###### if I get blamed for messing up a broker load. No one told me to get a reset in, and second broker guy said everything was confirmed for the 14th, firm... -
