Well I like it here. Can’t complain. Rates have went up a tad here. I run for 2 weeks, then go home for 5 or 6 days. You can make descent money here. Click and go.

Some wise driver pm'd me and recommended I not give out my numbers. I thought that was good advice after the freightwhipper thread. One thing I'll tell you, so far I'm happy. Beats my last gig all to hell.
The load board is about as simple as it gets. I can book out a week in advance. I'm booked out until next Wednesday right now. I know things can go wrong, but I always try and cover my bills first, then I just play with the numbers. Luckily I don't live paycheck to paycheck and I wouldn't recommend leasing to anybody who expects to have to do that. That high weekly bill can be scary and if I had a ton of personal expenses on top of that, I wouldn't feel so care free.
The feeling of knowing that I have my best interests at heart and that I'm not just a number on some dispatchers load board is the best feeling in the world. I'm always thinking about what's a week down the line, I'm not just waiting for the day I deliver. I've always loved being able to finish one load and immediately head to another. It's been just like that from the start with the occasional break that I CHOOSE TO TAKE for hours purposes.
That's the one thing that is hard to do..plan things out for maximum dollars within my rollover hours. I haven't figured out how to do a 34 every week and still make money. But, I'm sure with practice I'll get better at my load planning.
Anybody been to Mars Pet Care in Lancaster, TX? I'm picking up there tomorrow night and heading to Illinois. They say it will be ready at 1900. Should I get there early? Suppose to be a drop and hook. I'm just curious if anybody else has experience with the place. The reviews for the place mention it closes at 1700 and one driver complained that his drop and hook turned into a live load due to lack of empties but he didn't say what company he worked for.JOHNQPUBLIC Thanks this. -
