One time a couple of years ago I saw a guy pulling a flatbed with a reefer tractor. He had no headache rack, just load locks and a broom hanging on the back of his sleeper, and his securement looked kind of funny. I was shutting down for the night and walked past his truck on the way to the store. The driver wasn't up front, and I didn't want to bang on his door just to ask him how it came to be that he was pulling a flatbed with that tractor so I don't know the rest of the story, but it was really curious to me. Maybe someone can make up a story that will help me understand.
The Truckers’ Report flatbed Hall of Shame.

I don't care what kind of wagon I'm pulling...show me the money.Woodys, Grubby, LoneCowboy and 6 others Thank this. -
3 weeks I've pulled a flat, a couple of curtain vans and a food grade tanker, all with the same truck. I'll pull anything that pays, as long as it's not a reefer.Woodys, Grubby, Bud A. and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm curious, where do you keep your equipment? I just switched back to tanker again, and I know I'm going to have a bunch of stuff on my truck just for that. I can't imagine keeping all that plus all the stuff I carried for flatbed with no headache rack or a bunch of boxes. -
