    No. I dont even know what building it is in lol. But very few places build server power up beyond what they already need and this is going to place a huge burden on the system. Hard to tell if they got the bandwidth from their internet provider. Contractors web would likely run on its own port and they could just be throttling that one to keep bandwidth internally.

    Doesnt really matter since they will do whatever they think is best for their business. As long as i have a way to send bols in, im good. The basic system works as ive already sent stuff in, just a volume issue now it sounds like.

    These kinda things could certainly be handled better though and maybe reduce the mess like is going on in mtown lounge today.

    Expressing an opinion is one thing, but some of the folks were running the individuals in different departments down.

    There's no need to start the name calling , nor is there any call for someone to tell them dont let the door hit them in the rear.

    The folks in contractor relations didnt make the decision, the folks in payroll or the billing or imaging dept didnt. But they were getting some pretty rough treatment, and they certainly didnt create some of the phone lines being down either, nor did the contractors makes that decision.

    But keep in mind mercer completely controls that Facebook page now , they admin it, they took it over from 4 of us that ran it, we were going to shut it down, we were simply tired of deleting foul language and vulgar photographs

    No doubt it could be handled better in the transition.

    They had some phones go down today.

    I dont think it was the amount of paperwork that came in today as much as it was from the volumes of calls they got asking how to do it.

    I myself got several calls today, I talked them thru it, but they hadn't looked at their email or watched the video.

    It was kind of like the new load board , a huge number of people had never logged on to the new load board til the day after the old one disappeared.

    Like today some had avoided even looking at it .

    Some images were not clear it seems . With the way the print is on some of these bol it's hard to get a good image.

    I had some yellow bol a while back that the app wouldn't score a good image , I was able to get them in and readable with transflo.

    They have one big room filled with servers.

    Several of us were asked to test it and send in bol, it was removed the next day . I saw it again when everyone else did.

    I think would have helped to have it tested some, I did, for a day, lol.

    On Fb?, it's been done in person, I and many others have suggested things .



    I dont think defending is the right choice of words, even though it's well thought that Jason will be running the show one day, he isnt in charge now.

    The only attacking I saw on Facebook was drivers attacking a few drivers that were expressing their opinion. They only issue I have with this is Mercer doesn't have a good track record when it comes to technology. Like I've said before, their website is basic and does ok on a mobile device. It could be a whole lot better and wouldn't take much to make it better. They don't do a good job of rolling these things out. Just like the new load board, it never should've been the only way to book loads until all the bugs were out of it. Dave with the app and now the same with this change. The website is clunky and it's not going to be as easy to send in paperwork. It may not be hard, but it's not going to be as easy as with the app. To me they are putting a bandaid on a problem (app company closing) instead of fixing the problem ( hiring a new company to build the app).

    And I don't care how you look at it, if someone expresses their opinion about something at Mercer and other drivers start in calling them complainers and whiners and such, that's sticking up for the company no matter what. Mercer is good but they aren't any better than most O/O companies out here. They are just as equal as the rest. I picked Mercer for certain reasons and I'm sure those reasons are still true. But my gosh, some of these people act like they have their head up Mercer's butt. Those are the people in referring to.

    I've seen you defend Mercer, which sometimes I still disagree with you, but I've never seen you attack any driver for saying something bad/negative about Mercer.

    All my point had ever been is Mercer may be a good company but they could take lessons when it comes to their handling of technology.

    I agree completely rolling out new things could be done much better.

    The folks who did beat testing on the new load board and back with the app didnt give proper input.

    And you must have the posts where guys were name calling contractor relations , calling a joke among other things, or the post where the guy was going on about getting screwed out of money , when it was still being decided.

    I been at this 38 years, the van side I cant comment on here, but the flat side works well.

    I may not agree with someone , but I dont attack them with name calling or off color remarks. I give reasons why I dont agree, seems in return I get the opposite.

    I am not saying it's perfect, but some folks bring a lot of stuff on theirselves, by not being proactive.

    They dont make check calls to verify spots, then get mad when the appt is different.

    It's like now , the app is gone and dead and buried. To keep bemoaning the app is a waste of valuable time.

    But also consider this, what you consider as " head up their butt" , those folks simply have a different opinion, they simply dont have the opinion that the others do.

    They simply dont see it the same way , as the folks who see problems, they could just as easily say the folks complaining were the ones with their head up their rear.

    I honestly didnt have major problems with the new load board, perhaps because of how used both from jan to april.

    I didnt have trouble today. Maybe because I made an effort last week to find what worked for me instead of waiting til today to try the first time.

    I just dont let things like this beat me, I figure out how to make it work.

    The glass is always half full, it's never half empty. Its seems to work better that way.

    It just seems that some folks dont like that other folks dont get riled up over obstacles placed in their path.

    You can read the first ten to twenty pages of this thread and I am the same now as then.
