just found this thread. I'm looking at switching over to Mercer in about 6-8 weeks or so. Going van at first, possibly switching to flatbed in the spring.

Did i read correctly? They want 16 straps for van? I've never used more than 3 straps on a load before. I have about 10 straps and 4 load bars now.

How is van freight in and out of GA?

 

Yes, 16 straps, and you'll need the ratchet type straps....certain machinery loads will require just about all of them.

I am no longer with Mercer. That was MY choice & had absolutely nothing to do with Mercer. Everyones numbers are different based on where you want to run & how hard you run. You cant base anything on someone elses truck.

 

You can call recruiting, they will give you real numbers. Mercers recruiters don't bs, ask them questions and you'll get accurate answers.

 

How are things going for you earlybird?
