The next truck im buying will have the Skirts. I Can't find the brackets for my truck to install them as they are no longer made...
62 doesn't mean anything trucks are running 70-75 and still getting 9MPG.. aerodynamics help so much at those speeds. I've seen plenty of other flatbeds besides Prime running skirts on the trailers its gonna be the next thing.

That's not george , george Brooks is the warehouse guy.

Eugene Carner is the store guy. He is a retired software engineer , whose wife works at mercer . He hired on initially as someone who shuttled people to airport and twice and such.

Yes, Eugene. That's his name. I knew I had him confused as soon as I hit send. Dude's awesome and has a great personality.

Hopefully he can make strides with their website.

From what I'm told Prime only did it to comply with California law.

Oh man, I got to get me one of them.

Go to a salvage yard and I bet you can find the brackets. Hopefully they are cheap cause it will take awhile to save enough in fuel to recover your cost.

I have a T660 with roof cap and skirts. I pull a van with skirts and I average about 6.8-7.0 mpg. I usually run about 68 mph. I know guys with 379s and W9s without the roof cap and skirts that get just as good as I do. I know mine should be a little higher and I think it will get there once the motor breaks in and I get a proper Cummins tune put in it. But it's never gonna get anywhere close to 9 mpg as long as I run faster than 60.

Yes, there are plenty of trucks that do much better than mine. The trucks with Paccar engines and freightliners do better but I've yet to see one get 9 consistently running fast.
    I don't believe it's possible.

Are you sending straight from phone?

I tried that but file size was two big .

I have tried two different scan apps, camscanner and turboscan .

Both work, although turbo scan has a 4.99 one time fee after 3 pages.

I paid it so I could use it more so I could compare the two and let folks know.

I posted a page or two back that I preferred camscanner. But after paying and using turboscan more , I call it a tie .

Turboscan may be easier if someone hasn't used a scan app before.

The scan apps convert to a black and white image , which can be adjusted if there's a blemish or shadow etc on the bol.

Using one of those apps drops the file size , making it easier to send and gives a good image for them

With transflo at .19 a page , it will cover the 4.99 in no time.

It makes sending the paperwork faster and consistent.

But the arrival and depart is a bit difficult. I had a two stopper, one in tifton , ga . And last in pompano beach,fl

I did arrival in tifton with it, no problem. When I departed , it emptied me in pompano beach, fl

No big deal, as long as it doesn't bother them, lol.

But i had agents calling offering loads, i said i am still loaded, they said its shows you empty in pompano. Nope, lol.

The paperwork seems to function well for me and the advance tab, the arrive and depart aren't crucial , I will use the arrive ,depart,or loaded messages under messages tab on the qualcomm in the meantime.

If any of you have questions send a pm and I will give you my number to call. Not an expert , but I do what I can with helping send paperwork.

The mods wont let me post my phone number on here , if they will post here and allow it for this I will.

So pm and I will send it, I am hesitant to send it unsolicited , considering some feelings toward me .

If I can help , let me know

I'm getting 6.5 running 70 with a major boost leak. It would be interesting to put a flatbed with trailer skirts into a wind tunnel to see if they help. From what I read skirts on the truck alone can get me .3+

I honestly think that was a holdover from the beginnings of the load board
When we all first got laptops and hotspots and the ultimate was a ram mount for the laptop.

    It's definitely not mobile friendly.

Dont know if you were here when the app came out but there were some growing pains with that thing too.

I know with some beta testing , they asked for the first ten volunteers regardless of tech savvy. It showed with the app and new load board.

Some of us were asked to use the upload feature, it then disappeared the next day, lol.

    Gone until it appeared again.

Depends on what you read I guess. I'm sure there is some gain to be had but according some people air tabs gain a lot also. I doubt they do much. Skirts would help some but the biggest thing that hurts a flatbed is it doesn't have walls and a roof. That freight sitting on that trailer catches a ton of wind. As long as I stay above 6.8 I'm good. That's the number I used when I figured my initial cost of operation. Anything I get above that is bonus.

Naw, the app was already out when I came over. I came in on the heels of the new load board. Beta testing should probably be done by more than 10 people and should last until all the bugs are worked out.
