Where Are You Continues, Again.....

I am holding my couch down. Done killing mosquitoes with my headlight.

 

Just for a spell or permanently done?

 

Yeah... the only reasons I would look for another company would be to find a non-automatic truck and a company with a terminal near my storage so I wouldn't need to pay for parking my vehicle when I am on the road and the truck during "hotel time"
Other than that, my company makes it REALLY hard to go somewhere else...

Told my dispatcher I was planning on taking Tappan Zee bridge to "save my sanity"... just like you said... and he answered "OK... will add the miles to the trip"

Now just got a msg from Mr. Director of Operations... saying they are buying new trailers and want to know drivers' opinions about the handle on the back to make it easier for us to get up in the trailer...

They constantly ask our opinions on this and that and they do listen to us...

My last week's payroll shows almost $500.00 bonus... I am not sure what that is for... maybe some fuel economy bonus or whatever...

 

And yeah.... I did take the Tappan Zee bridge... but the rain.... and the traffic... still....
It was raining a lot when I left VA early this morning... and then going thru MD....
But here in MA is sunny, hot and gorgeous and super nice breeze... have my windows open... parked at the dock of the receiver AFTER delivery this afternoon... It's going to be a super quiet night... nobody here...But I gotta leave at 3:30 AM east time... going to another shipper in VT and then heading to UT....

I really pushed to be here this afternoon... was supposed to deliver tomorrow morning... but receiver was nice to unload me this afternon and allow me to take my 10 at this quiet quiet place... Cause there are no places to park in this area of MA...

 

Ok... this is the truck stop I parked yesterday evening... right across from Flying J... I didn't even spend a minute going into FJ... saw the wonderful empty spots at Mr. Fuel across the street and went right in...
Then, took my shower at FJ and fueled in the morning... SWEEET...



And this is the quiet place in MA where I am taking my break now.... LOVE IT!!

 

Now... one thing I hate is when I pick up these heavy loads nowhere in the middle of the woods and the closest truck stop with scale is 40 miles away... sometimes going the opposite direction... And I am trying to save every minute I can...

A lot of rain lately all the way from FL to NY... Driving around Washington DC at 4 am today (Tuesday)... it was pouring at times...
