I have a medium duty 26,000 GVW Freightliner Rollback and pull cars and wrecks
from 81 and 80 in PA all the time,I wouldn't think of pulling out into hi-way speed traffic,
even with the blindingly brilliant LED strobe going.
I wait for an opening in slow lane, get momentum up on shoulder,
and slide into that space. Some; maybe 65% move over, some butt-wipes go faster,
and see how close they can get. It's not a joke, I want to go home when I'm done out there.

I was just wondering how you got over to 29. I run 29 everyday from Harrrisonburg, Va to N.C. I try to stay off 81 as much as I can. The only stretch is from 243mm down to 221mm. I am less than 65 ft so I run thru the woods from the top of the mountain over to 29. If I am real, real heavy, I will stay with 1-64 to 29 at Charlottesville. Only ten minutes difference.

I’m just triggering you guys. Of course I wouldn’t do that. Smh. But the two times it happen both times a car was next to me I forced a 4 wheeler to the left lane One was a really close call with Crete he pulled out when I was maybe 300 feet away. Scariest moment the car next to me saw it and changed lanes. I made up new curse words that day

    > the passenger in the Peterbilt was unrestrained in the sleeper of the truck and died at the scene.

How many people are riding around in sleepers unrestrained? A lot, I'll bet. It works great until that moment when it doesn't.

Anything that Paccar makes in 2018 is labeled a 2019. I've had a 2019 Kenworth since February.

I saw a truck on the shoulder on 85 in SC the other day that less than a 1/4 mile from the exit ramp. He merged right in to traffic rather than take the exit and merge on the down from the top of the entry ramp.
    That’s how people get killed.

I've seen them stop at the entrance to a rest area, and make a hard left instead of going thru and picking up speed.
