I have nothing bad to say about them. The guy who hired me , Stuart , was pretty cool. All of the bid run guys seemed happy. They just didn’t ever give out a lot of information. They even had me on paper logs and nobody would give me a way to sign in to electronic logs. I don’t mind hooking up my own sets, I actually preferred to hook up my own sets because that way I know everything is right , and I think I had the same chip you did but something was wrong with our pumps , now that I think about it . I’m at reddaway now and they don’t have a single sleeper truck. Some of the trucks don’t even have passenger seats LOL. My sets are always hooked up in Salt Lake City and my trucks are fueled every day at the yard and I get paid for everything after a quarter of an hour whether it’s delay or weather , dock time etc . It’s just tough being on the extra board over there. Teams are probably a better bet

Good luck at Reddaway I left Holland after the last vote to continue concessions My wife was hired and waiting for the next orientation to start and we both quit to come here and team. Watch out there at Reddaway the older drivers will vote against you to keep what little they have. Maybe that will change with the next contract in 19 but I doubt it

I hear you Mike. They say they won’t take a hit again next year but I don’t believe any of that ####. I’m just on for the free insurance because I have kids at home still and it’s pretty chill over here and they have work on the extra board

The free insurance is the only thing I miss. I'm 50 and I was the youngster at my terminal. There were old dudes that could barely walk driving linehaul. I was there 4 years and they all said they would never vote for anything less then the original contract. Well when YRC says they wanted more concessions and to take more days from me I voted NO and they all voted YES I told them all they could go to Hell! After that vote in 14 YRC pushed all their debt out until 19 when the next vote is. So YRC iS going to screw the drivers.

I’m 47 and one of the younger guys on LH. The older guys don’t talk to anyone they just grab their sheets and go . We’ve had a lot of defecting lately to FedEx and ODFL. Which means I’ll probably get a bid run in a reasonable amount of time. They don’t catch up with the pay I don’t see how they’re going to staff their Barns anymore

Do you have to take home time every week if you want to be husband and wife teams at R&L? We only care to go home every few months as we like to take time off or resets in other places besides Ohio where our home town is.

I'm not sure . We only see a few other teams out there that we actually talk to. Call recruiting and ask.

Ok New update. We applied for a transfer to a terminal in Pensacola after a position opened up. Turns out a husband wife team retired after 20 years there. Since our daughter and granddaughter live there we put in the request. We got the transfer but may take 60 days. What's even better is that run comes up to just 30 miles from where we live now so we will be close to family here. That run is about 1100 miles a day so it will be close to what we do now. Now we can be with our daughter and granddaughter every weekend. They are looking for a team to replace us in Louisville if anyone is interested. Or if you know anyone.

What's the pay and all the other details on the Louisville team position that they are gonna need to fill? Did you ever find out if you must take home time every week or can the teams take their 34 hour reset in the truck at least for those who dont keep a house or apartment?
