Maines offering $12,500 sign on bonus?

They have the red lobster and cheddars contract down here.... I know they do only chains from what I know of

 

I heard they are worse then reinhart. Why would you do this type.of work for 65k. At.least work for Sysco or US Foods. 80-90k.

 

Maybe in your area but out of the Binghamton N.Y. area they do a ton of mom and pop places along with chains

 

Yes, they have a billboard up in northeast PA. But it's not a sign on bonus, it's a retention bonus. Which means that they dribble it out into your paycheck over time as an incentive to not quit.

 

They're a food service company.

A mega carrier solicited a bid from me the other day to pull Maines trailers. 10+ stops per load, driver unload or option to have a helper do the unloading. Possible (probable) layovers. Mega pays for a hotel for the helper.

I bid $1800/day to the truck. Should have bid $2000. Haven't heard back from them yet.

 

I live 10 mins from there Conklin ny location I know drivers that work for them and that don't anymore they say no one wants to work there for a reason they don't pay good and don't treat there drivers good

 

Why not just increase wages to entice current employees from leaving and hire new ones. I think an extra 3-4 bucks an hour would have a few extra people line up versus 10,000 after X-amount of months.

 

Maines is always hiring that should tell you something and so is Willow Run.....I grew up minutes from both, and both suck.
