? Where did your load start? There are a couple routes that make sense taking 81 as the beginning of a route to Chicago.

That said, the pathfinding function Crete uses is Rand McNally. I don't know how up to date their maps are, but they will send you on some stupid routes now and again. I always check any route that seems odd, when I bother to look at Crete routing at all.

Going east or west? I can imagine Crete sending you on a route east on 76 to 70 east, then north on 81, then US322, I99, then 80 east. To avoid tolls.

And that's why I take Crete routing with a grain of salt, LOL.

68 to 79 to 70 to 65 to 80. If you want to avoid most tolls.

I compare total miles between route suggestion, and my GPS.If Miles on GPS are more than r/s then I turn on allow tolls, and it will be closer, and vice a Versace.

Grain of salt is the key words. Crete wants you to be on time, no tickets or accidents and get the job done. And that’s what I’ll do.
Dispatched confirmed today that suggested is as it is... suggested.
He assured me, don’t sweat it and your doing great.

Parked and ate dinner at a new truck stop. Big Stacks Truck Stop exit 432B off I40 in Newport TN. Food was awesome, waitresses pretty, and parking free. They will be adding coin laundry, drivers lounge, gift shop, and DOT clinic. Owner was a driver for 25 years and knows what we like. Highly recommended. Be safe comrades.

    Let’s play a game.
4 Times a week I’ll run you from Cheyenne to Denver with 4 Denver stops.
You’ll only get 42 cents a mile since it’s a dedicated home weekly fleet and 15 dollars per stop.
Youll then drive across town for free and reload and bring it back to Cheyenne and drop it.
On your 5 th day, right before you want home and you’re tight on your 70 I’ll offer you a load to New Mexico.
But you’ll turn it down because you want to be home and all I have left is a 3 stop load in Denver.
