I think you explained it the way I remember. Tell me if this is correct.
Indiana, I think was about 11 cents on that surcharge and a total of 27 cents, including that charge at the pump. If you bought the fuel there, they kept that 11 cents and applied the rest to IFTA. If you bought the fuel somewhere else, you were still charged 27 cents, but now it was only for gallons burned. These numbers may be incorrect and are for demo purposes only.
Indiana no longer has a surcharge on diesel. All included in IFTA.
Kentucky and Virginia still have one.
Nobody else has one at this time.

Indiana confuses me if I remember on the breakdown at the pump there is a disclaimer that the new tax does not apply to ifta.....i.m not sure I just top off in il and call it a day
-
Looking at the current IFTA doc, looks like they dumped their old 11+16 and went to 47 cents. Maybe changed their mind again? I haven't travelled that way in awhile. Maybe someone else has an answer.
But then again, I just look for my cheapest fuel since we don't need to worry about it anyway.CJndaTruck Thanks this. -
And something else that sucks about Indiana. Looks as though they raised total tax on fuel, now they're raising tolls for trucks and their ####ing toll roads suck. WTF!
-
Indiana dumped the surcharge I think the beginning of the year...and raised their fuel tax rate along with a few other states.
KY and VA the only surcharge states left.
IFTA, Inc. -
I remember reading indiana changed it about a year ago. Now they are just like most states in regards to ifta.
The disclaimer at the pump is about regular sales tax. If you don't have a valid dot number filed with the truck stop they will add sales tax to the pump price. -
Were there a lot of these types of issues with Niagara Lasalle?

Well my week got screwed up with the canceling of 1 load on late friday. Had to cancel all my loads for this week because of that 1 load. Now im sitting here looking for a load and nothing peeks my interest dang it lol

Greasy bars are inherently slick. They are coated in grease after all. The reason that load went through his front trailer wall is because he didn't build a head board. Using a couple choke chains and building a head board combined with driving like you got a brain cell by leaving plenty of space in front of you to reduce the chances of a sudden hard stop, make them no more inherently dangerous than any other load.JonJon78 and Highway Sailor Thank this.

I'm glad I got van...that bulkhead wall will stop anything.
