Does anyone have any knowledge regarding the Schneider Dedicated home daily route out of Shrewsbury Massachusetts? They are hiring recent CDL grads and say that it is a home daily opening. I live 10 miles from the yard and am interested in the opportunity, but it seems to good to be true. From what I read it was mostly intermodal out of that yard, is that what they mean by dedicated?

Might see if NFI has any opens out that way, there a good home daily company.

no clue what the account is but it isnt intermodal. Other ads for your area list intermodal specifically.
are you sure it isnt just a drop yard that you would operate from? -
Shrewsbury is an OC now. They took over the back part of Flynn's. It has a maintenance shop and I believe office space. I was only there once since they opened it.

still, most accounts operate from the customer. except jcp. drivers will drop loaded in certain places and hook empties. S Kearny is an example, with loads originating in CtSingingWolf Thanks this.

Shrewsbury is a nice town. I was up there a few years ago and i saw mostly small sleeper cabs pulling intermodal crates but i wouldn't know if that's what you would be doing

Been a while since I started this thread, but I am now enrolled in CDL school and am wondering if anyone has any further info on home daily accounts from Schneider, even it it's not specifically the Shrewsbury location. Is it always home daily as they state or is it the occasional hotel stay. Also wondering if anyone has details on the "guaranteed daily rate" pay option. There's a recruiter from Schneider that comes to the school at the end of the program but I am trying to be as prepared as possible.

home time , pay rate or type of pay depends on the account and how the contract dictates .
some may be home daily. others are home a couple times a week. still others are out for a week then home for 34-60 hours then rinse and repeat.
all the job postings are accurate as far as that goes. pay on the other hand is difficult to get a straight answer on for new drivers as the ads typically state an UPTO amount. that amount is generally the top rate for x experience level plus bonus potential. -
I'm guessing it's home Depot. I delivered to that DC and saw a lot of Schneider trailers there. I also see a home weekly dedicated for me out of there

Thought I would give some more info to anyone else that is interested in this account as I just spoke to the recruiter. It is a dedicated route for Nestle Water/Poland Springs out of Hollis Center, Maine to New Jersey/Long Island. Seems like a lot of companies are in on this contract because NFI is hiring for the same account. Not sure if if I should be interested or not, it is a home daily or nightly account with an average of 2000-2500 miles a week, but they will hire me directly out of CDL school.
