CFI Driver's What's Your 20? (2017 edition)

What happened with plans at cfi?

 

Yeah, I'm curious about what really happened.

 

So this is my second Rand McNally dash cam since May. I would no longer recommend. Gonna try the Cobra cams.

 

He drives so fast, even the dash cam doesn't want to look!!!

 

My experience with CFI was good till me and wife went to the third party school which wasn’t a fully automatic school. We had issues right off the bat so my wife tried to push the clutch a few days then her leg swelled up so then it went down hill from there wife got pushed aside since they had 1 auto truck and she could use it for an hr or 2 here and there. My wife got a call from Courtney saying she was basically being let go over the school saying she was afraid of the truck which wasn’t true.She tried hard and the school gave up on her. I went the full 2 weeks got my certificate then Monday comes along and it’s my turn to do the pre trip and then I failed by 7 points oops . I go in call CFI and i get this told to me we got complaints from students and school staff so we not further your employment. 24 hrs find a place to live or the streets of Ohio so I found a place to stay in hesperia California . I asked bout these complaints and told they can’t tell me anything ummm weird. I found a new company called us xpress we both might do or just me wife slipped and fell on her hip today so we will see by Monday.

 

Those are the reasons why I was scared to do a company offered program / contract for a free CDL. That's why I just said screw it and got my CDL at Roadmaster then went to CFI.7200$ for my CDL. Cfi is paying me back 4grand of it.

 

Honestly though, that school sounds like a crash course school. You have to cram as much as you can in a few short weeks. That just doesn't sit right with me. Honestly idk if we would of graduated had my wife and I went to that school. Teaching someone to drive a big rig isn't something you should try to cram into a couple of weeks.

Also I'm glad I went with the company paid training. I hated truck dynasty but honestly my my debt with CFI is almost paid off and my wife's will be paid off in a few months. But we've made so much money we could pay off both our truck driving school loans and still have quite a bit left over.

 

Yup wish that happen to us so wife wont be my teammate. She will be my rider once I get my truck it sucks but her hip and bad back wont pass the agility test. They make u walk with 35 to 45 pounds 2 times length of the trailer. They make u pull up too 200 lbs I think towards u and push a 100 lbs away from u. They use 3 point contact to get in trailer set up test . They make u duck walk the length of the trailer once. What I see this company is really putting u to work to make sure it healthy and strong enough for this job
