    I have dropped my weight.

I have not seen my doctor for hypertension medication in over 3 years. I monitor my BP and regulate it mainly by reduction of caffeine. I still have occassions that the BP is a little on the high side due to stress. I strive to reduce the stress and maintain the levels.

There are many that control their health than post on here about it. You might be strangely surprised.

Well I will be the first to let you guys know how I make out,but here in PA I can take the cdl test and the only thing I need is an appt and the 70 bucks then If I pass I'll sch the road test which again no med card is needed to pass. The med card comes into play in getting hired by a comp. Now my wife just took her cdl class B for driving a buss at here work and know med card was ever mentioned or needed, her yearly check up at work was enough.....PS I've herd of med cards in truck stops :biggrin_2554:

My BP will creep up after long periods of inactivity (no real exercise). I find it goes back down to normal with only a couple weeks of cardio. But, for me it's a neglect thing when it happens, I don't believe I'm genetically predisposed to hypertension. I can definitely say that keeping active makes a huge difference though.

Type 2 in particular doesn't have the highest success rate of self control, probably because of the way it is obtained if it is inhereted by the intersection of susceptible genes coupled with unhealthy lifestyle. It's hard to change in later years. The Type 1 people are usually all over it.

The med cards you have heard at truck stops are for the medical clinics that are at some of them. Otherwise, don't believe everything you hear.

My solution was to get a killer dog, that needed a daily walk to help me to succeed.

That's not a Pensylvania thing. None of the states require trucking school. It's just the companies.

In fact, even if you've been to one, if you haven't driven in the last 6 months they make you go AGAIN. That's the problem and I think what you're going to find out. There's stories all over the board about this.
