Just curious about what people consider great money in the Northeast? Also what type of driving u do for that money (local, regional, otr)
Do u have to unload ur own freight? How many hours are u working to make that amount?

$2800.00 per week as a company driver hauling frac sand would be "great" in the northeast.
$10,000.00 in 3 days as an owner operator doing frac sand would be great for the northeast.

    Great doesn't exist anymore.

    a gazillion dollars..>!!!!!...hourly of course.

i work/live in the northeast. i have to unload/reload at each of my stops, its all done at night, all by myself at each location. i have the keys and alarm codes. i only work "about 45-50 hours" weekly.
(i only have 4 to 5 stops, depending on what the customer ordered, it's all dedicated)

for that, i get paid a modified salary, and extra drop or pick up pay when that happens, which is rare.

i "gross" very close to $1,500, but my net, due to my tax base i will not disclose.

i think i'm doing good for my weekly hours. i ain't complained in the 8 years i been there.

Funny how most all companies pay the same, yet the cost of living can be 100% higher than someplace else. $75k is nothing in NY, but in Tn a decent wage.

that is right..energy costs like home heating oil, electricity, natural gas, propane, gasoline, rents, food, taxes, .....and a few other things....one is making LESS than minimum wage...at times....

There’s no amount of money in trucking to make me consider the northeast. Just not my kind of place.

Vic Firth and Lonesome Thank this.
