I met a bunch of local SoCal tanker yankers in Port Hueneme one day this summer while we were sitting around waiting for the shipper to fix some stuff so we could load. Most of their trucks looked to be in good shape -- not as nice as yours, Diesel Dave, but still not like the junky trucks on the 710 going into and out of the port.

I live near Santa Cruz. Our local news said over half the brakes on that truck were out of adjustment. The trucking company wasn’t current with their operating authority, had an outdated CVSA sticker and other violations. That truck never should’ve been on the road to begin with.
