I'm sitting in Dodge. Heading out tomorrow, early, to Duke Ok. Deliver Starch to a drywall factory. Then come back to Dodge and head to the great metropolis of Nashville Arkansas. More Starch. (exciting stuff)
Looking forward to Orientation on the 7th.

 

I’m headed out this morning from home in N.C. with a load of pharmaceuticals up to Indiana for a Monday delivery and then reload in Kentucky with a load of Plasma back to N.C. for Tuesday. Home for the night Tuesday....

 

The book was written by famed historian Stephen Ambrose, who also wrote Band of Brothers.

 

Logged just over 300 miles today. Couldn't quite get into the groove. Felt like I was forcing myself all afternoon.

But I did learn a new joke...

A pessimist and an optimist meet in a bar.

The pessimist says "Ugh... This just couldn't be any worse."

The optimist replies "Of course it can!"

Good small company. Really good people.
Pays alittle less than what I was making st Magnum but I am home every weekend and 1 night during the week most weeks. Sometime I get a longer run to stretch the wings a bit. Been to Cali 3 times in 3 months.
Quality of life is much better being home more. Good trade off for me.

For you drivers coming thru Colorado. High wind warnings starting tomorrow afternoon. Gust up to 45-60 mph along the front range and eastern plains. Be safe out there.

 

I'll be one of the 10+ drivers there on the 7th. Excited and nervous at the same time since this will be my 1st truck driving job.

 

Hey, I heard a rumor that Magum no longer allows drivers to use their trucks for personal conveyance? What led to this change?

 

To save fuel haha... that sucks if true.
