I was a company driver.
C. R. England was my first company 7 1/2 years ago.
I just wanted to start another C. R. England sucks thread.
I’m at Walmart now the $86,000/year is pretty accurate. Talk about rags to riches.
I went bankrupt at C. R. England

I remember when England and prime trucks hauled arse and I got out of they're way lol.
buddyd157, bigkev1115 and SHOJim Thank this. -
We exclusively pulled refrigerated shipping containers for them from the Bay area to the Midwest and back. The job itself wasn't bad at all, it was the treatment we received from CRE that was horrible. Everything was great as long as we were out running for ten weeks straight, it was the ten days home time we expected that was the problem. Typically, dispatch would be calling us on 2nd or 3rd day home to accept a load. The threats would start on the 2nd day of phone calls, "If you don't go get this load we will be sending another driver for your truck!".
We actually made decent money, $2200-$2500 take home per week after taxes, but CRE made it unbearable to stay there. Those #'s are for both of us as we did the l/p thing, not that we ever thought we would own the truck someday, but the money was much better. Yes, the accounting firm we dealt with actually withheld estimated quarterly tax and paid it at our direction, so by "takehome", I mean takehome.
The last time we went home for scheduled time off, they held true to form and started calling on day three. I held them off til day five and the threats were now the worst yet. I then told them exactly what I thought of them and drove truck to nearest yard. The whole time they were calling to tell me to stop so we could work something out.
I don't wish this company on my worst enemies. If you are looking at them, do yourself a huge favor and find another outfit. -
motocross25, Gearjammin' Penguin and homeskillet Thank this.

Also, I'm sure the OP was a company driver. .28 cpm and I'm pretty sure the l/p program is dead as is the container fleet.

I’ve got it! We, the TTR membership can singlehandedly deliver a heart piercing blow to these heartless scumbags!
Let’s ALL:
1. Sign up for their orientation
2. Go and have fun for a few days
3. Get our truck keys and receive first load
4. Go put the keys in the trucks and leave
Then, when they call to see what’s up, tell them we’re on our way to the truck and then headed to pick up the load.
All the while, we’ll be heading back to our actual jobs!
I know, I know, I know. And, you can all thank me by introducing me to one of your family members (of Kenckian background, of course).EuropeanTrucker, Lonesome, IluvCATS and 2 others Thank this. -
or sending them snail mail applications and several postal trucks park in front of the building and dozens and dozens of mail nags clog the hallways..??? -
