I have lopro 22.5 all around on my Columbia glider. The steers have wear issues nobody and no alignment seems to be able to solve. I would like to try a set of 11r 16ply and run higher pressures and see if I can get rid of the issue. I upped the pressures to 115 in the lopro and it seemed to slow the wear patterns but the lopro's ride is rough like that. I'm hoping with 11r I'll get a little ride back.
Any issues running 11r on steers and lopro drives?

I've always had issues with steer tires. Tire shop guy who did alignments said it was due to trailers not tracking true. Truck is always having to correct fit it. Causes steer tire wear.

We never ran low anything on the front end. We ran pretty much the best on the market up there with some beef on them. The steers are the two most important tires. They are going to take some hits so they need to be big and strong.

Raise the weight rating a bit, I drove a 93 FLD with larger diameter tires on the front, I can't remember whether they were 22.5 or 24.5 though it looked obvious.

The tires from the factory on the truck that just went back to the lease company were not seated correctly on the rims. The worst set I had for wear.

Ya know, if you had pictures of the treads and so on perhaps some of us can eyeball the things off your steers and see what's what. Talking is one thing. Pictures is really knowing on sight.

It is hard to see. This is when it started.
The out side edge wears but only about 1/3 of the circumference of the tire. You can see 2 black lines from a marker, about noon and 5 o'clock. It starts and ends with those lines. This was early, I flipped the tire, the Michelin rep took pics etc, he didn't have any answers. It worn both shoulders now and has a river wear patten. I upped the pressure and it "seemed" to slow it down. 20180807_103333.jpg 20180807_103333.jpg

I highly recommend Chad in KC for alignment issues - he inspects first and won’t align till you come back with the mechanical issues solved first.

Doesn’t like to see you back after he’s satisfied with his alignment.

Solved all issues on my T2000, and now my ‘95 379.
