ABS light is not OOS, nor is inoperable ABS.
Know your regs if you are going to get your own authority.snowman_w900 and shogun Thank this. -
I use my eyes. Youi might try it some day.
SNUG MEANS SNUG. -
Using estimates isn’t usually a problem. A DOT officer would never measure brake stroke length with a tool, and he wouldn’t measure tread depth either. Their eyes are certified. These measurements were taken from inside the scales back in July.
And I lied, my vision tested 20/13 last June. So I’m near blind. Didn’t help she opened the outside door with the sun in my face right before I read it.

In that situation maybe a little common sense should prevail by the DOT officer. You can tell if a tire has been run low for awhile by the wear pattern, and the officer should know stuff like that happens sometimes. Just like a headlight blowing or a rock hitting and cracking a windshield right before you get inspected.

This is just getting out of hand. I just basically asked about different companies similar to Landstar. I appreciate the folks that have given a answer on topic subject, versus bashing me about how I conduct a pre-trip.
